Knowledge and Events Marketing Specialist

Are you an event marketing specialist who’s keen to join a highly prestigious, leading association?

Hugely exciting time to join a marketing team of a high profile membership body as they celebrate their 200 year anniversary.

The Marketing specialist will get the opportunity to implement and delivery a range of highly effective integrated campaigns for a variety of events including a large conferences, exhibition and smaller one-day/networking events.  

The Company
A highly respected large professional membership body, based in the heart of Westminster.  Membership based of 92,000 with royal patronage.  You’ll be working in a dedicated event marketing team of 3 but part of a wider team marketing of 14.  You’ll get a superb opportunity to work across integrated B2B targeted campaigns, predominately DM, email and digital.   They offer a very friendly, supportive environment.  

This is 12 month FTC with great benefits including 25days hols, private medical insurance and season ticket loan with potential for perm after contract finishes. 

The Role:
Based within a team of 3, but reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Events Marketing Specialist will be required to use the full marketing mix to promote events, knowledge content, webinars, exhibitions to raise awareness and achieve targets. 

They have 6/7 large attendee events throughout each year and 50 smaller events e.g. conferences, lectures, webinars, social and networking events.

Examples of duties:

  • Responsible for the content and design of marketing collateral including e-shot templates, conference and corporate leaflets and brochures.
  • Full autonomy to upload content to websites.
  • Responsible for content e-communications, Events Calendar and promotional emails.
  • Helping manage the media and institutional partnerships for the commercial conferences

About You:
I’m looking for an event marketing executive who has 2/3 years’ experience ideally from a Publishing, Conference company or Association background.  You will be confident in producing highly effective targeted marketing campaigns using the latest digital and CRM techniques for conferences, workshops, networking or exhibitions.  You’ll have excellent database and content management experience.
