Excellent opportunity for a bright and professional Event Manager to join this international legal body, and deliver a diverse range of events internationally.

As well as offering specialist services globally, the body has a general membership of over 2000 members (from over 80 countries), for which it organises a worldwide programme of conferences, seminars and other events of interest to its community, both regionally and UK. Members include lawyers, experts, academics, business persons, law firms and commercial and trading organisations. It is a prestigious and highly regarded organisation for the services it offers, and the quality of events that it holds.
As one of two Event Managers you’ll have full responsibility for a programme of varied events (10-400 pax) – from annual flagship bi-annual gala dinner, international seminar roadshows, conferences – from workshops for 20 industry specialists to debates hosting up to 400. A mix of pay to attend, and free to attend. You’ll have your own set of events, and will manage the full lifecyle of events, from identifying the event requirements and expectations with key stakeholders at various levels, to post-event reporting. You’ll be the key point of contact for venues, suppliers, speakers and attendees, and act as on-the-ground liaison during the event itself. Events are global – oversees travel will not however be excessive, as some of your events will be represented on site by local partner law firms. The team is supported by a Digital Co-ordinator, a Registration Co-ordinator and an Administrative Assistant – so there is a really great team approach to making the events brilliantly delivered. You’ll report directly into the Head of Membership and Events.
You’ll have excellent event co-ordination and communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering varied business events – and ideally have experience of working internationally. You’ll have proven experience of working on a varied events programme. You’re confident dealing with senior level speakers and business delegates. Great logistics and supplier co-ordination skills. Excellent communication skills are key (written and verbal), as are excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to work with the marketing team, and develop appropriate marketing collateral.
