Prestigious International Association (legal sector) are looking for a confident and highly organised Event Manger to deliver their programme of international face2face events – excellent opportunity!
THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a leading global network of law firms, who, via the Organisation, collaborate across global borders. With 11,000 lawyers and 90 member firms throughout the world, leaders in their fields of expertise and/or jurisdiction they benefit from the organisation’s varied events programme to support them and their inter-relationship building, with a regular international Annual Conference and Regional (EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Americas) member Conferences. Also other network events (receptions, cocktails, dinners) at ad hoc legal sector events globally, and some virtual seminar events (c. 10 p/a).
THE ROLE
As the sole Event delivery expert but working with the wider team you’ll have the main responsibility for the pre-event planning and event logistics management for delivering the annual programme of global events – a mix of Conferences (Annual Conference (2 days, 200pax), and Global Regional Conferences (1-2 days, 30-100pax), an overseas programme for junior lawyers (1 week, Thailand), and numerous dinners/receptions/cocktail events through the year at larger legal sector events. Also some webinars. You’ll be responsible for full end-to-end event management, including stakeholder co-ordination, all event logistics, and attendance on-site, and the role will incorporate international travel for events. You'll have lots of contact with members so we are looking for a confident candidate with excellent interpersonal skills who would enjoy building relationshiops with global members. THE CANDIDATE
You’ll have proven experience of delivering conferences and events, ideally internationally with excellent organisational and communication skills. Attention to detail is really key – the events are for a professional, and sociable, legal audience who have expectations for both the business and social aspects of the event being really well delivered. You’ll be comfortable working in a small team, and not precious about doing the nitty-gritty admin required as well as the bigger tasks of event management. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a must, comfortable dealing with senior level executives, and previous exposure to an association and/or the legal sector is advantageous.
