Our client is a prestigious membership body in the media – their aim is to support debate, celebrate achievement and champion the future development of their sector. Events range from glamorous awards ceremonies, to lively debates and masterclass sessions bringing together students and industry heads, to an annual conference – the three person Events team have a busy and excitingly varied schedule of UK events to deliver.
The role:
As Event Co-ordinator your role will be two-fold – you’ll work closely with the Events Manager assisting her on larger events both pre- and on-site (so all the usual event admin activities such as delegate management, ticketing, web updates, chasing responses, guests lists, signage). You will also have full responsibility for your own set of events, working closely with the dedicated committee who will focus on determining their content – you’ll have responsibility for their delivery. These events focus primarily on bringing in and bringing on new talent within the industry – and include masterclasses and an annual careers fair, with exhibitors and a range of speaker sessions by industry leaders and household broadcast names. This is a fabulous role, with lots of opportunity to learn from your experienced and supportive Event Manager, as well as utilise your existing events delivery ability and confident communication and interpersonal skills.
You:
We are looking specifically for someone with a good, solid background in end-to-end event co-ordination. Pro-active, confident but with good self-awareness, great communication skills, IT savvy, flexible and a really good team player. An interest in the media/TV/broadcast sector would be great.
