An exciting opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded London-based international membership organisation. Joining a small & dedicated team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a large programme of international training and events. With at least 4 years’ experience of managing multiple events, you will be highly organised, a good team player, confident & adaptable to the diverse needs of a global events programme and small organisation.

This international trade association has c. 2000 members in 98 countries, and their aim is to promote international trade in their sector, and to protect their members’ interests worldwide. They run anywhere between 20 – 40 specialist training courses, committee meetings, networking and other events throughout the year. Most events are smaller, with numbers between 15 – 45, however a few are larger, including the prestigious flagship Annual Dinner in London which attracts 450 – 500, and is a high point in their year. No conferences! The ideal candidate will be adept at ‘plate spinning’, a great communicator who would enjoy a collaborative team environment, and bring ideas for streamlining processes to the table.
Role:
Reporting to Head of Training and Events you’ll have responsibility for the successful delivery of their event programme, managing all end-to-end event logistics for their events and specialist training on a global basis. Examples: Annual Dinner, Training Courses, Arbitrator events, private dining, Council, all committees & other meetings and live online webinars. They are very much a face-to-face organisation, with currently only c.4 virtual events a year, the rest f2f. The majority of their events are quite small, and 60% of events are outside of the UK, the rest mainly London. European travel would be involved, c. 4 times a year. This is a collaborative and social team, so the role would suit someone who is similar, and would enjoy working as part of a close knit team in a membership body. Specific responsibilities include:

We’re looking for an experienced Event Manager, who would enjoy working in a collaborative and social team environment, and is a great event logistics manager with excellent communication skills. We are looking specifically at someone who has delivered blacktie dinner events (min. 200 pax) previously, as well as other events, ideally with some international event management experience.
