The Financial Accountant will join a small, but highly effective team, helping to run the accounts of a large pension Master Trust, improve MI and control monitoring.

This is a visible financial accountant opportunity sat within a small finance team, reporting directly into the Senior Financial Reporting Manager. This role would suit someone who can build strong working relationships - you’ll be expected to work with several teams internally including investment assurance as well as have regular contact with several external stakeholders (auditors, DWP, external 3rd party administrator).
I’m looking for a Financial Accountant who has previous experience working in financial accounting position within financial services. You’ll have an undersanding of statutory accounts, SORP and IFRS. Not neccessary but I think useful could be someone who’s had exposure to fund accounting. You’ll have strong problem-solving skills; be a forward thinker who can help detect issues/pressure points. You’ll be strong numerically and have excellent excel modeling. You’ll have a track record of creating MI and dashboards and embedding financial controls within a business.
