Data Protection Manager – Financial Services

Job Description

I’m looking for a Data Protection Manager to join the fastest growing pension company in the UK.

As a Data Protection Manager, you’ll be using your data protection expertise across the organisation ensuring that the organisation remains compliant with privacy legislation.

The Role:
The Data Protection Manager reports to the Head of Information Security and sits within the Risk & Compliance team.  You will be responsible for delivering the day to day operation of the Data Protection in line with data protection policy and be responsible for delivering the day to day operation of the Record Management policy both in-house and with 3rd party suppliers.   This role will include regular interface with the 3rd party supplier ensuring compliance of their data protection function.


  • Production of reporting for senior management.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessment on any changes
  • Advise on any data protection and records compliance across organisation
  • Work in conjunction with information security team to investigate and write up data protection incidents and reports to ensure causes are identified.

About You:
I’m looking for an experienced Data Protection Manager who has a broad knowledge based in various technologies and platforms ideally within financial services or within a company who has a large record database.  

You will have a solid foundation in Data Protection legislation, be experienced in responding to subject rights requests or complaints.  You will have a detailed understanding of UK DPA (Data Protection Act), EU GDPRM and the UK Data Protection Bill.  You will be confident with the Security and Compliance centre functions and be confident in the management of records management.
