Brilliant perm role for a “star” Event Operations Manager with experience in the operational delivery of large-scale events/consumer shows!
This exciting Event Operations Manager position reporting to the overall Show Project Manager will see you taking responsibility for all operational & logistical aspects of two iconic and large-scale public facing shows in the UK.
This is a senior level operations position where you will formally line manage one direct report as well as coordinate a large work force of contractors, volunteers and casual on-site staff.
This role also involves being on-site for up to 12 weeks per year during the build period and throughout the two shows you’ll be operationally responsible for.
This company are looking for a talented event operations’ professional with a minimum of 5 years’ solid experience in the operational delivery of large-scale public facing events (shows, exhibitions, festivals, Fairs, expos etc).
You must have excellent Health & Safety knowledge along with considerable experience of managing complex builds and managing 3rd party contractors, volunteers & casual staff.
The ideal candidate will be a solutions-focused / operational delivery / get things done type of person who is incredibly organised, detailed, calm under pressure and great with people from all walks of life be that stakeholders, sponsors, local authority & emergency services personnel, volunteers, contractors and most importantly members of the general public / show visitors!
Important: You must be willing to be way from home for up to 12 weeks per year to be on-site for the build, delivery and break-down of the shows.
