- Exciting opportunity for a proactive and super organised junior Events lover to bring your passion for events and travel to this highly regarded Events Agency – working in the heart of their Business Development team as they create hi-end travel and event programmes for varied in-bound corporate clients coming to London and UK.

With an excellent reputation and a super team, this company works with global corporate clients who are planning group visits/event programmes to the UK ensuring all of their professional destination requirements are met and their guests experience is a brilliant one. They specialise in devising and delivering top end in-bound multi-day corporate event programmes in London and the UK for top international clients and their guests – generally a mix of conference, dinner events and all associated activities. They have a long and excellent global reputation, so you’ll be working with and learning from the best in the UK events market. With a particular focus on creative and 5* experience, the company takes care of logistics, accommodation, travel, meeting arrangements, tours, activities, special events and conference management for their clients, ensuring every element of their programme is devised and delivered to the highest of standards.
The Role
You’ll be reporting directly into the Programme Design Director, and be a key member of the frontline Bus Dev team that receives and responds to client enquiries, and takes the project to sign off before handing it over to their talented event ops team. You’ll be dealing with client requests – and supporting putting together proposals using the in-house systems and your own creative skills, preplanning of detailed programmes at the initial stages of the enquiry, and costings for all elements. The role has a mix of supplier (venues, guides, transport, services) and client contact, product visits (venues/destinations) and trade events. You’ll be liaising with suppliers including sourcing availability, negotiation of rates and terms, confirmation of bookings for all elements of the programme. You’ll also assist on research of new attractions, venues and services particularly in London to share with the team, as well as ensuring all their admin is ship shape, creating project files etc and reporting.
About You- You’ll have some existing work experience within the events/hospitality/travel industry and be looking to build your career.
- You’ll have the excellent organisational and admin skills to support the varied admin and reporting needs of the team, combined with a strong interest in the business travel industry or event management with an enthusiasm to learn about London & Great Britain as a destination.
- You’ll have the team player, customer service and communication skills to quickly bond with clients and build relationships – and you’ll very much enjoy pushing out to make contacts with suppliers and clients alike
- You’ll have excellent planning and co-ordination skills, good IT skills, ability to write copy, numerate to manage costing proposals, great attention to detail, a good communicator
- You have a passion and enthusiasm to build your career within the events and travel industry.
- You are creative and enjoy helping clients develop their travel ideas and plans. You have a good sense of humour and enjoy working collaboratively.
- Confident dealing with deadlines and a strong attention to detail are also key.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn, ideally with some new business experience/client contact experience, you are keen to join a team where you can grow.
- Other languages and experience working in a MICE environment would also be desirable.
