Stunning multi-space Grade 1 listed London venue is looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Events/Venue Sales Executive to join their Client Events team – brilliant role working at one of London’s most beautiful and historic venues, and in a friendly and collaborative team!
THE COMPANY
This stunning London Grade 1 listed venue has a unique history, and holds a prominent place in the London venue landscape - with it’s hugely impressive, architecturally beautiful historic backdrops, it is well known as a fabulous and prestigious venue for high profile events, award ceremonies, banquets, concerts, and special events for a wide range of clients, as well as hosting prestigious Governmental, Royal and City Livery events. A truly amazing venue, offering a beautiful selection of spaces all steeped in history and tradition – this role will see you dealing with an exciting range of varied clients and their often highly prestigious events.THE ROLE
You’ll be working at the heart of a busy and passionate events team – who deal with all external clients and their events – leading corporates, charities and varied high profile organisations. You’ll be working in a close team with the Event Sales Manager and the Business Development Manager, and alongside the expert team of Event Managers who take forward the operational delivery of client events once signed off. In your role you will be the first point of contact for new enquiries, managing enquiries and communications up to the point of confirmation, working closely with the client as you ascertain their needs, promote the venue, including showing potential new clients around the venue, and working to maximise the fullest usage of the varied beautiful spaces offered within this historic setting. Key responsibilities include:- Be the first point of contact for client enquiries related to the use of the venue, including promoting the venue and advising how it’s varied spaces can be utilised to best fit their requirements
- Arrange and conduct site visits with prospective clients and suppliers
- Manage prospective clients and client enquiries throughout, and updating relevant contacts and stakeholders
- Co-ordinate the venue diary and scheduling
- Work closely with the Event Sales Manager and Business Development Manager across all aspects of managing usage, sales and promotional activities for the venue
YOU:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised and ‘on the ball’ Event/Venue Sales Executive, with excellent communication skills. You’ll be passionate about events – good previous experience in venue sales - and love dealing with clients, particularly at the front end of the business - and would love to work at a prestigious and well known venue and at the centre of a busy and experienced collaborative events team. High quality written and oral communication skills, highly organised, well presented, with strengths as a team player, excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy essential. You’ll need to be confident and well presented, as you’ll be doing venue show rounds with clients. Some experience of venue diary management or scheduling would be really useful. You’ll be looking to develop your venue events career, and would enjoy working in a busy, high profile environment and in a prestigious venue. Key requirements:- Previous experience of event sales in a venue/event environment is essential for this role
- Well presented, confident to deal with high level and varied clients on phone and face to face for show rounds
- Experience working in a sales capacity within a Venue, ideally with Historic or Listed status
- High standard of English, both written and oral
- Excellent communication skills, and high level customer service experience
- High attention to detail, flexibility and a good team player, with good level of self motivation
- Good IT and excellent admin skills, numerate – excellent multi-tasker
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and a proactive and enthusiastic approach
- Experience of venue diary management/scheduling would be ideal
