THE COMPANY
This successful and well established leading publishing & media Company has a number of key publications within the private equity financial sector (private equity). The event team run a busy programme of events, conferences, seminars, awards, summits, breakfasts, drinks receptions for their senior level in-house audience – so here you’ll experience working on a full annual calendar of market-leading B2B corporate events! All face2face events, both Europe and UK. The role is an excellent opportunity to show off your event management and coordination skills, working in a friendly and supportive team – the company has c. 50 employees and is a really exciting and dynamic place to work!

Role:
The role is ideal for a pro-active and ‘on it’ Event Manager (or Senior Event Coordinator) looking for the right opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge, and work in an exciting and fast moving business. You’ll report into and work closely in support of the Head of Logistics – and alongside an Event Co-ordinator and an Event Assistant, who you’ll help to support and guide. You’ll be coming in to take full ownership of your own set of events – the focus will be UK and European conferences and events - from the initial strategy meeting to on-site event management, and all communication and event logistics in between. A full and varied event management role, working UK & Europe! Specifically your responsibilities would include:- Independent end-to-end event management on multiple UK & European events; conferences, breakfast briefings, dinner roundtables and drinks receptions.
- Leading on identifying, negotiating with and managing relationships with suppliers
- Creating and controlling budget sheet, event timelines etc
- Sourcing venues
- Supporting the Event Assistant/Coordinator with delegate and sponsor management
- Work closely with conference producers, to support on-site with speakers and time management
- Ensure project keeps to deadline and leading logistics meetings to ensure the team deliver to deadlines
- Work closely with the sales team and directly with clients/sponsors on deliverables of contracts
You:
We’re looking for a highly organised, experienced and proactive Event Manager (or Senior Event Coordinator), with at least 4 years solid events experience, looking for a great next opportunity to really shine! You’ll have already delivered your own B2B events, with bring proven excellent event co-ordination and logistics experience, dealing with venues, delegates, and ideally sponsors/clients. Highly organised, excellent communication skills, a real team player – you’ll work closely with the Head of Event Logistics, and will enjoy being a key part of a really excellent team delivering a fantastic and busy events programme! Key essentials for this great role include:- Minimum 3-4 years previous experience working on Corporate/B2B events
- Proven experience leading on the management of events and event logistics whilst working in a fast-paced events environment
- Experience working with and managing venues and event suppliers
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and task from start to finish
- A true team player – regular communication, flexibility and insight sharing
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience working on international events beneficial but not essential
