Description

Rare and exciting opportunity for an exceptional event content specialist to join this world renowned intellectual/academic body – play a key role in ensuring their brand is enhanced and elevated by their innovative thought leadership event programme – which focusses on the challenges, innovations and top-line agendas of the global business world.

Role:
As Event Content Manager at this world class institution, you’ll sit within the brand and marketing team, and, working closely with the thought leadership team, will be responsible for developing relevant, engaging and insightful events both in for- mat and content, helping to elevate the organisation’s (already highly regarded) brand and reputation as a thought leader, driving engagement with their global audiences through a varied programme of live and recorded events.  You’ll proactively and expertly engage with their faculty, alumni and other contributors, both in and outside of their global community, to create forward-looking, thought provoking content aligned to their thought leadership strategy and fantastic intellectual content, research and activities. Your skill will be to identify and convert this into a compelling and highly regarded events programme, whether for large-scale conferences, panels, round tables, videos or podcasts. You’ll collaborate closely with the internal thought leadership, editorial, content and events teams, and with faculty, alumni and contributors across their wider community globally.

You:
We are specifically looking for someone skilled and experienced in researching and developing content for events, identifying the key strands and important topics, and able to distill and translate this into a varied and engaging events programme, pertinent to its audiences, in varied formats. You will understand what it takes to research, develop and pitch compelling content ideas, and how to involve the right contributors and speakers to bring them to life.  You’ll have relevant experience as a content specialist, or conference producer, (specifically with a focus on event content research and event design) and ideally already have an excellent understanding of business issues, within a global context. Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the appropriate level of consideration and gravitas to represent this highly regarded business academic body.  Specially you’ll bring:

  • -  Experience of researching, planning and developing high quality content for events (experienced in knowledge based content preferred)
  • - Understand varied event formats (live and recorded) and how to creatively match these to varied content and audiences within a multi-audience global event programme
    • - Experience of developing relationships with high profile speakers and contributors (including across academia, business, politics)
    • - Up-to-date knowledge of and keen interest in business issues and the global business landscape – knowledge of high level business education would be great
    • - Ability to pitch ideas, gaining buy in from stakeholders
    • - Experience of working collaboratively with varied specialists, and on project teams
    • - Excellent project management skills – with experience of managing contractors and/or agencies
