- Description
If you enjoy bringing people together, thrive on organisation and love seeing a project through from initial planning to successful delivery, this could be the perfect next step.
We're recruiting for an established and highly respected membership organisation that sits at the heart of one of the UK's most innovative professional sectors. With thousands of members nationwide, the organisation is recognised for bringing together industry professionals, sharing best practice and creating thought-provoking events that shape conversations, build networks and inspire future thinking.
Joining a close-knit and collaborative HQ team, you'll take ownership of a varied programme of regional events, giving you the opportunity to manage projects from start to finish while building relationships with senior stakeholders across the UK.
The Role
You'll be responsible for planning and coordinating a varied portfolio of regional events, from ‘technical’ tours (onsite at locations/spaces of interest to the sector) and thought-provoking seminars to networking events, conferences, business lunches and industry socials. Working with professional volunteer committees from the sector, venues, suppliers and internal colleagues, you'll ensure every event is delivered to a consistently high standard, balancing timelines, budgets and logistics while creating an outstanding experience for delegates. Events range from topic based seminars of around 20 delegates through to larger events of over 100 attendees, including networking lunches, giving you the opportunity to work across a diverse and engaging programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own programme of events from planning through to delivery
- Building strong relationships with regional committees and supporting them throughout the event lifecycle
- Coordinating venues, suppliers, speakers and event logistics
- Ensuring sponsor deliverables, branding etc are well facilitated
- Managing delegate bookings, CRM administration and event communications
- Producing timelines, tracking budgets and ensuring projects stay on schedule
- Supporting on-site delivery/recce visits where required, including occasional travel across the UK
- Working closely with colleagues across events, marketing and partnerships to deliver successful events, and assist on larger events, awards, conferences as needed
About You
You'll already have experience coordinating events and be looking for a role where you can take real ownership rather than simply supporting others.
You'll bring:
- Minimum two or more years' experience coordinating events, either in-house or within an events agency (including supplier liaison, venue, delegate management, budget, timeline)
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and confidently juggling competing priorities
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships and positively influence stakeholders
- The ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a supportive team
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to ask questions when needed
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
You'll also enjoy working with people, be comfortable dealing with senior professionals and volunteers, and have the confidence to keep projects moving whilst maintaining excellent relationships.
An interest in areas such as design, architecture, the workplace, property or the built environment would be an advantage, but above all we're looking for alongside excellent event coordination skills is a people person, someone who is naturally curious, engaged by contemporary topics and genuinely enjoys learning about the industries they support.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative organisation where you'll be trusted with genuine responsibility from day one. You'll become part of a team delivering engaging, high-profile events that bring together professionals from across the UK, while developing your own skills in project management, stakeholder engagement and event delivery.
If you're organised, proactive, people-focused and ready to take ownership of a varied events programme, we'd love to hear from you. Click APPLY now!
