Description

Leading and highly regarded Body within the banking sector is looking for a Event/Webinar Manager to joint their events team, and take ownership of their webinar programme - a busy programme of sector leading Webinars, a key element of their wider ‘must attend’ sector specialised events programme. (12 month mat cover)

Role
Working within the Commercial Events team, as Webinar Programme Manager you’ll be responsible for running the end to end process and delivery of their industry leading Webinar programme, working with sponsors and internal policy teams to sort and confirm the content, marketing to promote and maximise attendance, and then coordinate the set up and running the technical part of delivery on the webinar platform. They  currently use zoom webinar for this. The role will suit an experienced digital event/webinar manager with a keen eye for detail, great organisational skills, strong relationship management experience, excellent project management skills and the confidence to work with high level internal and external stakeholders and event Sponsors. (This role is an October start 12 month mat cover). Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for leading, owning and managing their programme of 30+ webinars per year, maintaining focus on delivery of high quality webinars and digital events
  • Work with the Content and Marketing Team to drive event attendance and engagement and ensuring quality and compelling content that drives member and sponsor value
  • Work with the Head of Sponsorship to ensure suitable packages are available for sale and that events/webinars meet their sponsorship revenue target and support with sponsorship liaison to ensure their packages are realised.
  • Delivering live webinar recordings using zoom webinars
  • Maintaining detailed project trackers – with key deliverables and milestones.
  • Supplier liaison – maintaining relationships with virtual event tech providers and sourcing new suppliers as needed
  • Keeping up to date with virtual event industry trends, attending competitor events and ensuing the organisation is adopting best practice.  
  • Gathering analysis, feedback post event, managing wash up process and suggesting areas for growth and development.
  • Finding innovative ways to develop the programme and offering
  • Supporting the wider Commercial Delivery Team when required including on site at events and workshops

You:
We’re looking for an experienced Event or Webinar manager with a minimum of 5 years in the industry and 2 years delivering virtual events. Experience working with the financial/banking sector and/or within a professional membership body is highly useful. We are looking for someone accustomed to delivering exceptional sponsor and delegate experiences in high-pressure and high-profile business events. You’ll be adept at working across all aspects of delivering a successful event/webinar programme and working with a range of stakeholders both internal and external, with the excellent attention to detail and thoroughness needed to ensure the high level delivery expected by this organisatin.  Specifically you’ll bring:

  • Strong IT and technical skills, confident working with MS Office programmes, Zoom webinar and Microsoft Dynamics. 
  • Experience of producing corporate webinars to high standards (working within the financial sector is particularly beneficial though not essential)
  • Experience working with high profile stakeholders in commercially sensitive and confidential environments.
  • Strong project managements skills – working to tight timelines with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in delivering profit making events – full end to end management
  • Proven track record in following processes and protocols
  • Experienced in, and confident of, working across several programs, sometimes in close succession.
