Would suit an agency or corporate background and top level event management skill set!

This global business currently operates in 29 countries, and is the market leader in its field, both in terms of current product/offering and innovation. Operating a de-centralised model enables it to maintain it’s entrepreneurial culture. They are looking for an additional experienced Event Manager (either agency or inhouse background) who would enjoy a role that gives them the independence to lead their own varied event projects with close liaison with internal clients across all different areas of the business. If successful this role will see you working across a broad range of event projects in terms of scale, format and location, with the opportunity for extensive international travel (Europe and North America) and global relationship building.
Location, Travel and Benefits
You could either be based in Dublin or London office, and the role will bring the opportunity for extensive travel for events throughout Europe and North America. (nb being an inhouse role you will have clear vision of your forward projects and corresponding schedule for planning). The role comes with a competitive salary, and excellent benefits, include 10% bonus, 8-10% employer pension contribution and healthcare. (Dublin-based salary to £60k, London-based salary to 50K).
Role:
You’ll be one of four experienced Event Managers reporting into the Event Director.The role is highly detail-orientated, involving project management and practical execution of events from inception to reconciliation, working with Events Team colleagues, functional leadership, senior management and third-party vendors to deliver consistently exceptional events. The role covers the management of all aspects of event planning and delivery across stakeholder liaison, event design, theming and production, logistics, integration of remote technology for hybrid/virtual, budget management. Combining office-based planning and on-site management & execution, the successful candidate will:
• Act as key liaison between the Events Team and executive leadership and stakeholders
• Manage and meet internal and external deadlines to ensure adherence to budget and smooth delivery of the project
• Conduct research (venues, DMC’s, production agencies etc), develop local networks of
suppliers and negotiate contracts to final approval
• Manage all third-party suppliers to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to each
event programme
• Conduct frequent site visits, with extensive international travel required
• Create, maintain and communicate detailed project management documentation to ensure
excellence in execution
• Develop and manage all aspects of budgeting for events undertaken, from initial cost
estimate through to final project reconciliation
• Establish event design, production & IT requirements and determine the most appropriate
means of delivery (i.e. in-house AV supplier, production company etc)
• Have an awareness of planning for Health & Safety and ensure relevant parties deliver on
their responsibilities in this area
• On more heavily logistically based events, manage online registration tools & related Events app as required, create and manage transportation and rooming manifests, devise and manage food & beverage arrangements
You:
Agency or in-house events background are both of interest - essential is the ability and experience to manage all aspects of event projects across both logistics and wider production considerations, and to comfortably work directly and closely with both internal clients/stakeholders and varied international suppliers. This role will suit someone whose experience, professionalism and approach match the company’s own entrepreneurial and confident culture. You’ll be the event lead, so your existing knowledge and experience will equip you to deal confidently with all aspects of events, as well as bringing forward-thinking ideas to keep their event formats and style leading edge. Specifically:- You’ll have proven experience of delivering varied events internationally, with significant budgets
- You’ll have an events agency or inhouse background, be used to dealing directly with Clients, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Good venue knowledge, and of event technologies, varied formats – dealing with varied event agencies and suppliers
- Proactive, confident, able to work with a range of different stakeholders, strong supplier negotiation and management skills
- Highly organised, exceptional attention to detail, proven ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent excel skills, and ideally experienced using sharepoint
- Additional European language would be great, not essential though
- Team player, flexible, accountable
- Engaging and proactive

The role brings an excellent remuneration package and benefits, across healthcare/pensions etc, and although the travel is extensive, you will have clear sight of when your events are.
