3 day a week Event Manager role at this leading international business organisation - lots of focus on Speaker contact and coordination - background in an Association, Corporate/In-house or Business Chamber highly desirable!

You’ll be working in the UK branch of the world’s largest and most influential business organisation. Long established – highly respected – their members are leading global businesses, and at the heart of their activities is their record of fostering open, cross border trade, resolving cross-border commercial disputes and setting best practice international rules for business at the highest levels of global governance, including the United Nations. As part of their activities they deliver a number of highly regarded and important events through the year, attended by senior level corporate delegates, in person or virtually.

Role Summary
As Event Manager, you’ll be reporting directly to the Commercial Director, and will help bring together their flagship conferences, specifically speaker coordination and event logistics. This would be an annual Conference & Awards event (April), a Conference (October) and a Multi-streamed conference week (November). Events will be a mix of face-to-face (largest c.250 in person) but to a larger virtual audience. Their events are attended by some of the world’s most informed business Presenters/Speakers/Thought Leaders – and a large part of the role is engaging with and managing this key element of the events, so lots of liaison with speakers of senior level - the ability to work across varied topic areas with interest and agility is highlydesirable Specifically your key responsibilities:
•             To work alongside the wider team and coordinate the activities to bring together and deliver the commercial conferences through the year (3 main conferences)​
-             Coordinate the scheduling of speaker coordination calls and circulate briefs (written by the leadership team) (also to help research organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new speakers)
•             To reach out to and engage with speakers and confirm participation, and obtain biographies & head shots for inclusion on marketing material
•             All pre-event coordination for on-site event – including logistics, catering, room set-up and speaker coordination – onsite co-ordination
•             To work alongside the Marketing & Comms Manager to ensure a steady stream of social media and event advertising content is shared to their networks
•            To work with the Marketing & Comms Manager and Delegate Acquisition Specialist to issue email invitations and promote the conferences to attract the desired number of delegates
•             Membership & Stakeholder Engagement - to be familiar with the member companies and ensure members are informed of the event opportunities and ways to engage
•             To maintain relations with the secretariat and other international offices to help promote the conferences

You:
You’ll be an experienced Event/Conference Manager / Conference Coordinator, with experience working end to end on business conferences and events, and ideally with proven experience of managing large numbers of speakers, internationally. You’ll have experience of both in person and virtual events.
You'll have the maturity and confidence to deal with senior level Speakers and Delegates, and ideally have previous association/chamber/b2b experience. You will also bring excellent communication skills, be highly organised, excellent attention to detail, and be a great events professional!
