Amazing senior level events venue role (ops & sales) at a historical listed property in central London!
Stunning London venue property - heritage and listed building and home to a leading maritime authority and registered charity / corporation.
The Head of Events is looking to replace a long-standing member of the events & venue hire team who is retiring shortly. In this role (50/50 sales and ops) you'll be organising the corporation's internal events (dinners, receptions, seminars, meetings etc) however the majority of your day-to-day work will be handling external client events & venue hire bookings (responding to venue hire enquiries, reactive sales, preparing contacts, event planning for the client, supplier management & on-site ops) as well as promoting & marketing the venue and ensuring it has a strong positioning in the London venue market. It's a stunning property (listed building 17th century with several beautiful venue spaces for 10-180pax) and it's a very busy venue that holds approx 200 events per year (always exclusive hire).
The client mix is 80% corporate / 20% private events (parties, weddings etc..) and on average these are 70% daytime events / 30% evening.
This is an absolute gem of a venue events role - lovely venue, friendly team and lovely company to work for with a good work/life balance culture across the organisation!
