Account Executive – (experiential agency – automotive brand)

Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced agency Account Executive to join top creative experiential agency and work as implant client-side for leading automotive global brand. (12 month fixed term contract)

COMPANY
You’ll be working for this global creative communications and experiential agency - but embedded within their automotive client’s marketing team for part of the week, and with 1-2 days a week at the agency. 
You’ll support the client’s marketing team on a diverse range of consumer facing Experiential projects including Sponsorship/Partnership activity, autoshows and varied events.

ROLE
Based client side, you’ll assist the client team in all aspects of delivery of brand experiences. You’ll work alongside the Shows and Events Manager, and the Brand Experience Manager on the development and delivery of varied events and partnership activations (including a major sports sponsorship), liaising with agencies and third party suppliers where appropriate to source components of projects (eg assets, scripts, schedules, video, photography etc,).  As well as general project co-ordination, reporting etc. you’ll be a key liaison point between the agency and the client.  As well as general support and project co-ordination activities across your varied projects, specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist team in all aspects of delivery of experiential marketing communications and events including sponsorship activations within a sport
  • Project documentation, timeline production and management
  • Contact reporting
  • Internal and external liaison with key members of project team, suppliers etc
  • Liaison with suppliers
  • Research information for projects, compile and present to team
  • Costings, budget management and reconciliation
  • Ensure internal and external schedules, and budgets are adhered to

This is a fixed term contract of 12 months, but with bags of potential for extension.

YOU
We’re looking for a client-servicing star, who is excellent at building strong relationships.  You’ll need to have a strong understanding of ‘brand vision and positioning’ while also being a whiz with budgets and timelines.  You’ll be a pro-active, bright and flexible team worker, extremely well organised, a good communicator, able to build relationships with a range of people and varied departments, and an excellent multi-tasker.
You’ll have proven project co-ordination skills, ideally developed within an agency or in-house marketing and events environment.   You’re diplomatic and articulate – and a great team player.  Ticking the boxes so far?

Key requirements include:-

  • Excellent good communicator and able to build relationships
  • Some prior project management experience, preferably in an agency environment and working on a range of projects – ideally experiential
  • Experience in Sponsorship/Partnership activations desirable but not essential
  • Automotive knowledge an advantage but not essential
  • You must be prepared for travel and time away from home at short notice
  • Agency or in-house project co-ordination experience, ideally working closely with a marketing team across a range of varied communications projects
  • Understanding of events, digital, social media and the full tool kit of marketing media
  • Good knowledge across range of software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly numerate with excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Positive, can do attitude
  • Intelligent motivated team player with a commitment to quality and professionalism
  • Flexible, patient, able to prioritise
