THE ROLE AND COMPANY
A leading social enterprise with a venue portfolio of unique central London event, exhibition and gallery spaces for hire and for hosting a range of private, corporate, public, arts and cultural events.
Working in the Commercial Team this Sales & Events Coordinator contract (reporting to the Business Development Manager) will see you come in on a temporary basis to increase revenue and occupancy for two open-plan exhibition / warehouse style gallery spaces. The role will include responding to venue hire and event sales enquiries, providing information on venue availability, costs and exhibition space configuration options, conducting show rounds & site visits to convert bookings and then handling all the booking admin, client liaison and assisting with the event / exhibition operational delivery.
You’ll be a commercially driven sales and events professional with a background in venue hire for arts, cultural or exhibition spaces (minimum of 1-2 years commercial event sales & venue hire experience needed).
You’ll have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and proven experience in proactive sales and negotiation for events & exhibitions. You’ll be used to working to / converting / and meeting sales targets and will also bring to the table a good understanding of event & exhibitions planning and venue side event / exhibitions operations
Experience of liaising with suppliers (AV/catering etc..) is a must and you’ll need to have strong IT and administrative skills and experience of using event software and venue booking systems.
