London based creative event agency with a reputation for highly unique, innovative and exciting boundary pushing multi-sensory experiences have a new permanent vacancy working in their creative brand “content” team for a high-motivated and dynamic Senior Account Manager.
This role is less about event management & production (although you’ll need to have a good all-round understanding of these aspects) – the primary focus of this position is strategic account management, client servicing, client relationship building and project management.
Reporting in to the Creative Brand Director, you’ll be working in a very fast paced creative and commercially driven environment and your main remit will be full account management focusing on the long-term client strategy, developing existing client relationships, planning of new business opportunities and driving leads forward as well as working with the Creative Brand Director on the overarching project delivery of a range of awesome events primarily focused around the drinks industry.
You’ll ideally have circa 6 years previous agency-side experience in a relevant role (mid-level SAM or bright and ambitious Account Manager / Project Manager) within the events/communications sector. NB: candidates with only 3-4 years’ experience will be considered if they have a strong agency account management background and are super-switched-on, tenacious and full of ambition and are ready for that next step up to a Senior Account Manager position.
You’ll be a super star account handler who is great at “eeking” out new business opportunities and also has really strong client servicing & relationship building, pitching & proposals, content & messaging, creative development, production, staff management and digital & social media skills.
You’ll have a proven record of working across a range of events, activations, experiential campaigns and one off special projects that involve direct contact with the client and you must have demonstrable experience in strategic account management and business development.
You’ll need outstanding interpersonal skills, must be good at networking and building relationships and should be a creative, tenacious and dynamic individual who can think outside the box and challenge the norm. From a work ethic point of view, you’ll relish the challenge of working across a variety of different accounts in a very fast paced and high-energy environment with a vibrant and highly driven team.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Google apps and Keynote) are essential and experience of working at a strategic level within the drinks marketing sector would be hugely advantageous!
