A dream venue event sales job working for a top London cultural quarter and multi-use public venue with a mix of heritage as well as new "state-of-the-art" contemporary spaces for commercial hire.


This is a superb permanent job with huge career development opportunities for a target-driven Event Sales / Venue Sales professional with 2-3 years’ experience.

As Event Sales Manager role (reporting to the Commercial Director) you'll be selling venue hire for events to both corporate and private clients working to a revenue target of circa £850K per annum. The venue is large-scale and multi-functional combining renovated historic buildings with new "state-of-the-art" spaces that can accommodate numbers of 10-1000pax. Perfect for a range of events such as corporate parties, dinners & awards, conferences & meetings, photo shoots, premiere after-parties, exhibitions & flat floor events, product launches, black tie charity fundraisers, champagne receptions, weddings and one-off celebratory events.

This role will include proactive & reactive sales, site visits & show rounds, up-selling, building relationships (clients, suppliers, venue finding companies), promoting event hire spaces, organising showcase events and having a presence at 3rd party industry events (such as event / hospitality /arts / M&IT / travel & tourism related exhibitions and shows).

You'll be an enthusiastic, hi-energy target-driven event / venue sales professional with circa 2-3 years’ experience selling venue hire packages (ideally from a museum, unique venue, theatre / performance space, multi-use gallery or arts & entertainment related environment). The skills you already have (and want to take to a new venue) are proactive & reactive sales, site visits & show rounds, promoting venues, up-selling, client & customer service and supplier management and you’ll thrive in a role where maximising revenue from venue hire is key.

You'll need to be a confident & articulate communicator who can liaise effectively with people at all levels (both internally & externally) who also has a good all-round understanding of events (planning & delivery), venue operations and event-related contractor & supplier management (F&B, production & AV, theming & decorations, florists, performers & entertainers etc) . 

You'll also need to be a dynamic go-getter (ideally a 2nd jobber now looking for their 3rd venue side event sales job) who is hungry for that next step up and ready to grab a brilliant opportunity to rapidly progress their career in a fast paced, target driven and commercially focused environment.

A passion for arts & culture would also be great but not essential.
