As their new Business Development Manager you’ll be responsible for acquiring new Business customers within the UK. Your role will focus on doing the ground work to get to the RFP/tender stage with relevant corporate clients – and then working with the experienced Senior client services team (an amazing set of industry experts and personalities) to seal the deal! You’ll be using a combination of inbound and outbound sales strategies across multiple sectors to acquire new clients, using your events industry knowledge and contacts, with your engaging and pro-active business development activity. As the business development function re-establishes itself, you will have the opportunity to build a team around yourself, so this opportunity offers exciting things both short and long term!
You’ll be creative, bright, brimming with integrity, curiosity – commercial acumen, and great to work with .. these are the qualities that define the individuals in their team. You’ll have solid experience working within a sales, business development, account management and/or client services capacity within the events industry. You will already have established client knowledge and contacts within the events industry, be used to dealing with big numbers, and senior people client side. You could be with a more traditional event services agency, but keen to embrace the opportunities and products that a forward thinking and tech driven company can offer the industry, or already fully engaged within a more tech based event offering. You’ll already have contacts on the client side, and have had experienced negotiating at senior level on big number deals. You’ll have vision, you’ll have a genuine interest and excitement about the development of the events industry, and would relish being part of a genuinely exciting, growing company which offers fabulous working environment and career prospects….
