The Role

An exciting role for an events professional with at least 1 year relevant coordination experience or second jobber to assist with the operations and logistics of large international travel shows and creative events. Working closely with the Operations Manager and reporting to the Event Director, you will assist with the end-to-end organisation of two luxury travel shows (3-4 day large scale exhibitions with up to 500 stands) to ensure seamless execution. This role will involve international travel where you will be assisting with event set-up and pack-down, registration, appointments, client management, coordinating pick up and deliveries, onsite material and collation of team on-site packs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with development and production of projects from proposal to delivery
  • Take ownership of events, such as lunches and parties
  • Source suppliers for all marketing requirements and promotional collateral in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Organise and coordinate all event registrations, hostesses, transfers and furniture.
  • Attend regular international travel shows to liaise with external events companies to source new suppliers and innovations, and sponsorship opportunities
  • Onsite delivery and management of suppliers, staff and participants at trade shows
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with clients and suppliers

About You

This company are looking for a creative and outgoing French speaker with a passion for luxury travel and experiential events, who can remain calm in a very fast-paced environment. A strong communicator who enjoys working in a fun yet busy and energetic team and thrives working under pressure. You will be an Events Assistant, Events Executive, Events Coordinator or Operations Assistant. An organised self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a strong desire to learn and achieve new goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Some relevant events/operations experience
  • Passion for the travel industry and creative events.
  • Ability to confidently negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong relationships
  • Strong time and project management with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with tech software (Word, Power point, Excel, Outlook and Database management)
  • Must be flexible with the team and confident to bring new ideas to the table
  • French language is very advantageous
