Event Organiser / Senior Event Coordinator (B2B membership association)

Brilliant permanent job for an Event Organiser / Event Officer / Senior Event Coordinator with circa 3 years experience and an association background!


Well-established not-for-profit membership association located in central London who are the leading provider of education and training for professionals within the legal/financial field.


As Event Organiser (reporting to the Events Manager) you will be working on an extensive portfolio of UK events, courses & training programmes for the association (including fee-paying training courses, conferences, seminars, workshops, webinars, networking events, dinners, receptions, business briefings and special events). This is a pure event planning, delivery and logistics position and key responsibilities will include:-

  • End-to-end organisation of workshops, conferences, courses, breakfast briefings, webinars
  • Organisation and production of the introductory programme including; inviting speakers, venue finding, venue logistics, brochure design, marketing and on-site management
  • Providing on-site support for courses and conferences across the UK (including registration of delegates, briefing speakers and chairmen)
  • The organisation of at least one social event in the calendar such as Annual Dinner, President’s Summer Evening, Graduation Ceremony
  • Marketing courses to the membership with assistance from the Marketing co-ordinator
  • Liaison with speakers for PowerPoint slides and other course materials
  • Liaison with venues & suppliers (AV company, brochure designers, printers, mailing house, speakers, agencies, hotels and caterers)


You'll be a highly organised and professional Event Organiser / Event Officer / Senior Event Co-ordinator with 2-4 years’ events experience gained either from working within a membership organisation or within a commercial conferencing environment.

You’ll have a proven track record in end-to-end conference & event management including venue finding & venue liaison, event planning, budgeting, invitation & promotional material design & production, logistics, supplier management (catering, AV & production, florists), delegate registration, event marketing, sponsor management, on-site event management, post event analysis & reconciliation. You’ll also have good project management and IT skills and experience of working with members, committees, sponsors, speakers and senior exec level stakeholders & partners.

From a personality and work ethic point of view you’ll be pro-active, team orientated, creative, hands-on, diplomatic and good at problem solving with exceptional attention to detail and an incredibly professional, meticulous and process-driven approach.

Basic knowledge of a design package such as Quark or InDesign would be useful (but not essential).
