Fantastic role with lots of international travel for an Event Manager (or Senior Event Coordinator) with excellent event logistics skills and large scale international conference experience!
Well established London PCO who deliver amazingly high profile large scale 4-5 day global conferences for the energy and oil & gas sectors. London office and friendly and fun team.
This Event Logistics Manager role (reporting to the Head of Logistics) will see you working on two very large scale international trade events (US and Asia) over an 18 month period.
You will go on-site to both events and will also be doing all the site visits, venue inspections, supplier meetings and client meetings in the US and Asia so the role will involve plenty of travel however on a day-to-day basis you will be working out of the London office.
Your role will be to support the Head of Logistics on the long-term planning & delivery of all the conference logistics for these two very high profile multi-day and multi-strand global trade events. This will include venue liaison, site visits, contract & service agreement administration, supplier management (AV, catering, interpreters), social programme & off-site event programme organisation, delegate registration, budget & financial coordination, speaker/sponsor/exhibitor liaison, signage, branding, equipment, security, transport, accommodation, support staffing (hosts & registration staff), set-up & de-rig coordination, on-site event management and contributing to the post event report and evaluation summary.
You’ll be an Event Manager / Senior Event Coordinator with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working on large scale international conferences and events. You must have handled a wide range of complex event logistics and have previously worked in a role that has involved a high volume of delegate, speaker, sponsor & client communication and interaction.
You’ll be adept at juggling multiple work strands, have good budget coordination skills and be a super organised person (a logistics whizz!) with amazing attention to detail, strong systems & processes experience who is also good at liaising with suppliers, venues, committees and stakeholders (phone/email and face-to-face).
The “Nice to haves” would be experience of working within the oil & gas sector and mandarin languages skills but neither of these are essential at all.
