Event Executive - (media agency)

Sociable and buzzy, this leading cinema advertising company are looking for an Event Co-ordinator to join their Marketing team, and deliver their busy programme of b2b industry events. An energetic, fun and collaborative office culture, where they offer flexibility, training, support and a sociable working environment.

You’ll be working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, and the Insight Director and Sales Director.  As Events Executive you’ll have specific responsibility for delivering their busy programme of external events – this includes an annual awards event, regular screenings and monthly ‘thought leadership’ events.  You’ll also manage their presence at international annual film industry events, organising receptions/dinners etc, as well as looking after their internal events – quarterly company updates and their annual conference.  So, a varied programme of events to keep you busy!
Key responsibilities:

  • Development and management of annual events strategy and budget, alongside Head of Marketing & Communications
  • Oversee management and delivery of all their B2B external events, including Awards, and varied ‘thought leadership’ events, client events
  • Oversee Company’s presence at major industry events
  • Co-ordinate all internal events, quarterly company updates, and annual conference
  • Source and manage relevant suppliers, venues, logistics, branding etc
  • Co-ordinate all external agencies (eg design, print, exhibitors, advertising)
  • Build relationships with distribution partners to source film content and key speakers for events

You’ll have proven experience of delivering / co-ordinating varied conferences and events, and ideally have had experience within a Marketing, Advertising or Entertainment agency.  You’re confident and pro-active – highly organised, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  You have the experience to co-ordinate your own events, manage suppliers, and budgets – and understand the role of events within a marketing and b2b context, their importance in building brand and relationships.  And ideally you have a passion for the world of film and cinema!

Key requirements:

  • Experience of co-ordinating conferences and events – of varied formats
  • Experience of dealing directly with event suppliers, venues, logistics etc
  • Excellent creative briefing skills and managing creative projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign desirable
  • Experience of budget management for B2B campaigns
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail etc
  • Confident, outgoing, and pro-active, self-motivated
  • Focused on delivering tangible results but with a creative flair
