Permanent B2B Awards Manager role working on international design competitions & industry award programmes for a leading London based association!
Prestigious membership organisation who provide a varied programme of events (from awards & international design competitions to flagship conferences, lectures, masterclasses and professional development courses) for their members and audiences within the design, landscaping & architecture fields.
This Competitions & Awards Manager role (a combination role of Awards Manager / Events Manager / Competitions Manager) will see you reporting in to the Marketing Director as well as working closely with various committees and with the Business Development team.
Your remit will be to take the lead in developing, managing and delivering this creatively driven membership organisation’s programme of events and competitions including annual industry awards, international landscape design competitions, lectures, masterclasses, conferences, training & networking events, seminars and major celebratory events all of which are held in the UK for between 50-500pax.
The role is heavily focused on the management of industry specific awards & competitions and you’ll be driving forward the whole process (from start to finish) including category division & criteria, launching & promoting the awards, managing submissions, organising shortlisting & judging days right through to the all “singing & dancing” glittering awards dinner & ceremony.
This role isn’t an awards show producer role and it isn’t a content or conference production / speaker acquisition based role (the BD Team & Committees drive forward topic, programming, speaker sourcing etc..) –instead it is a full end-to-end event management role weighted heavily on the entire organisation of competitions & awards along with the management of a few other flagship conferences and B2B events.
You’ll be a versatile and meticulously detailed Events Awards Manager with considerable expertise in planning, leadership and end-to-end management of national awards, conferences and international competitions. You’ll have a proven background of working across varied B2B event formats (such as flagship conferences, masterclasses, seminars, CPD & training events, lectures & talks etc.) who can also bring to the table specific experience of working on awards and competitions. You’ll ideally have an association, trade body, or commercial/publishing events background and you absolutely MUST have knowledge and experience of awards & competitions (the whole process – category division & criteria, launching & promoting awards, managing submissions, organising shortlisting & judging days to the all “singing & dancing” glittering awards dinner & ceremony).
You’ll be super-organised, enthusiastic and a brilliant multitasker (can manage multiple streams of work simultaneously) with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively (with diplomacy & tact as well as with confidence & tenacity) with a wide range of stakeholders including members, committees and those eminent in their field.
