You’ll be bringing your conference producer skills to a world-leading professional membership body whose 100,000+ members work in ground breaking areas from sustainable energy and aerospace to Formula One and cutting-edge technology – a really varied and exciting range of subject areas, all of which are fast moving and innovative. This role will bring you into contact with all aspects of this exciting and dynamic sector, as you develop relationships with key members and industry experts, research topic matter, and develop great conference and event agendas for both members and non-members.
The Conference Producer is responsible for the topic generation, validation, market research and production of highly topical event programmes that deliver technical and hot topic knowledge, and drive attendance, from both members and non-members. You’ll be working within a supportive and dynamic Production Team, and will work closely with member committees and industry experts to research topics and speakers, providing specialist events expertise to develop the Institution’s learning and conference programme over a varied range of sector topics. You’ll be working as part of an experienced and friendly team, and this role offers lots of responsibility, as well as excellent opportunity for career progression. You’ll have a minimum of 1 year conference production experience, from either a commercial events organisation, or membership body, with the ability to manage the full production cycle. Bright and with an enquiring mind, you have strong analytical ability, love topic generation, and have excellent research skills. You’ll have the ability to quickly develop content knowledge across a wide of industry sectors, and enjoy working collaboratively with subject experts to hone and develop great content, as well as your own in-house project team to market and promote the event.
