Exciting Conference Producer role (global economics sector) - working for a highly regarded think tank specialising in the world of finance and economic policy!
Independent ‘think tank’ operating the twin channels of research and meetings to promote dialogue at the highest levels on world finance and economic policy worldwide. They run an exciting and industry-leading annual programme of meetings and events bringing together a wide network of experts, professionals, decision makers and thematic specialists within the field (including CEOs and Ministers).
A fantastic opportunity to join the meetings department of this innovative and highly regarded London based Economics focused ‘Think Tank’ and work on the conference production elements of events around issues affecting economic and monetary policy in the African, Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
As one of 3 Conference Producers (all of whom work on their own individual projects), this newly created Conference Producer vacancy (reporting into the Head of Meetings and working alongside the event logistics, marketing & membership teams) will see you working on a range of events including panel debates & discussions, lectures, small niche conferences, seminars, roundtables (plus webinars & podcasts) for 10-150 pax mainly in London with a few events in the EMEA regions.
Key responsibilities include:
An experience Conference Producer with a strong interest and understanding for economics and economic policy and a proven background of conference production for financial events (or a similar / position involving research and writing within the finance or economics fields).
Candidates must have excellent writing experience (can write engaging and compelling copy), good research skills and be able to generate interesting and relevant topics & agendas for meetings, seminars & conferences.
Candidates should also be commercially minded and able to identify opportunities for collaborations & additional project funding and must have good communication skills and the confidence and industry knowledge to liaise effectively with and build relationships with top-level industry specialists, policy-makers and stakeholders.
Knowledge of Middle Eastern, African or Asian markets would be useful and additional language skills (Middle Eastern, African or Asian languages) would be very advantageous but not essential.
Experience in Salesforce and InDesign would be a nice to have (but not crucial) however a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or above) in a related field is a must if you’re interested in applying for this role.
