Research Analyst (Insight)

A great opportunity for a Research Analyst to join a Marketing Strategy and Planning Department of a high profile financial services company.

As a Research Analyst, you will use your customer insight skills to help the team responsible for defining and implementing measurable marketing and digital strategy.  I’m looking for someone from a research background not marketing.

The Company

This company is the fastest growing FS Company in the UK and at the forefront of pension reform.  It’s unique organisation being financial services and a non-departmental government body.  They’re on course to be one of the largest pension schemes in the UK, from a research perspective it’s interesting as they communicate to large and diverse target audiences.  Based in Central London they offer a fast moving, supportive, ever changing environment where people are truly valued and genuinely excited to be part of what they’re doing as it will have a huge social impact.

The Role

This is a newly created role, reporting into the Research Manager the Research Analyst will support the production of research and analytical reports.  You will be required to assemble and analyse different types of information from a variety of sources to produce insightful reports.  These regular and ad-hoc insight reports will support marketing stakeholders and help drive decision making and performance.  You therefore will build strong relations with marketing and be the ‘go to’ person for research analysis and insight.

Eg. day to day you will:

  • Create research and insight reports based on secondary data, seconddary research reports, competitor and market data.
  • Provide integration of data from disparate sources into holistic, cohesive reporting
  • Manage data process, reporting and analysis of customer surveys.
  • Horizon scanning and regular summarising of relevant secondary or primary research.

About You

I’m looking for an experienced Research Analyst who’s gained experience in the financial services market in a technical or analytical role. You will have excellent data analysis skills and be able to manipulate, understand and interpret research survey data, secondary research reports, market data and quantitative data sets.  You will be adept at report writing.  Ideally you will have knowledge of SPSS/ Rapid Miner/ Business Objects.  It also goes without saying but you will need to possess excellent writing and project management skills.
