Account Manager - (live events agency)

Job Description

Creative, sociable live events agency, are looking for an experienced Account Manager/Project Manager – great team to work with – mat cover, with potential for perm.

This is a great agency to work with – an established medium size agency with a great team who take huge pride in the creation and delivery of live events and brand experiences, for their exciting client portfolio - which includes some of the world’s best known brands.  They work across the full range of live events and communications, including but not limited to conferences, incentives and awards, always with a clear and strategic focus on the overall achievement of the client’s key communications objectives.  And they have fun doing it!

This is a mat cover role – you’ll be joining an established account team, headed up by a brilliantly supportive AD – and working alongside other Account Managers and Execs.  You’ll manage your own projects, and have direct contact with your clients, and be responsible for the full end to end delivery of your events …and work as part of a team on larger events in support of the AD or SAM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management – primary responsibility for ensuring the maintenance and development of your client relationships
  • Operations – take responsibility for the planning, logistics and management of allocated projects, budget/margin management, manage all suppliers and venues, manage delivery of event on-site, post event reconciliation, and support the SAM and AD as required

This is a real ‘people’ company who regularly reward and acknowledge the successes of their team – so you’ll be of a similar ethic – bringing an enthusiasm and excitement to developing your clients, and maximising the success of your projects.  You’ll already have some solid experience delivering live and/or corporate events, ideally within a similar live events or event agency, are a very solid logistically orientated event project manager, who loves working in a creative environment, and enjoys client contact.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years proven experience in related event management role – ideally with live event / corporate event experience – and have worked on a variety of events for varied clients
  • Ideally agency background
  • Proven ability to manage logistically complicated events and their budgets
  • Ability to communicate and consult effectively with clients at a senior level
  • Honest team player with good sense of humour – tenacity, drive and energy
