Senior Events Executive – (In-house/Corporate)

Job Description

Excellent in-house role working on varied client focussed b2b events, from business breakfasts to gala dinners - fast paced corporate based near St Pauls.  (please note this is initially a six month contract but expected to extend to perm).

Our client is a leading International Executive Search Consultancy  - they work globally, acting as trusted advisors to their clients who need help recruiting the very best people for the very top positions.  They aim to develop long term relationships with their clients – and to support this have a large and varied client events programme, mainly London events, all top level and brilliantly delivered to the highest of standards.  From intimate breakfast meetings, to prestigious gala dinners held at livery halls – and everything in between.  These events form a key part of their business and marketing strategy, so working with internal stakeholders to meet their objectives is a key part of the role.

Sitting within the marketing team, and reporting into the Head of Events, you’ll be working on a varied schedule of top level b2b events – at prestigious venues, as well as in the event spaces at their beautiful offices and using their inhouse catering team.  You’ll have responsiblity for end to end event planning, from taking the brief from the internal stakeholders, to developing and presenting the event proposal, sourcing and managing suppliers including venues, to on-site delivery. Events vary from small intimate breakfasts and 3 course lunches with presentation at their City offices, to large annual dinners at five star venues, and evening networking drinks and dinners, often involving prestigious keynote speakers from within the business, political and sporting world.
Duties will include:

  • Taking and advising on briefs from internal stakeholders
  • End to end event co-ordination and on-site delivery – including internal time line management and communications – ensuring exceptional ‘on the day’ delivery
  • Event admin – operational spreadsheets, internal communication, delegate communications, budget, event function sheets etc
  • Supplier management – venues, catering, print
  • Budget tracking

You’ll be a bright, motivated, ‘can do’ events professional, with experience working on b2b events ideally from within the corporate/professional services environment. Well presented team player with excellent communication skills, very solid admin skills, an eye for design and detail, who enjoys being busy, juggling tasks, dealing with varied people – and looking to work in a team atmosphere, with lots of things to do! Proven track record of liaising with business stakeholders and delivering varied client focused b2b events.

  • Well presented, with excellent communication skills, and able to build relationships and credibility with a variety of professionals and internal stakeholders
  • Experience of end to end event management and delivery of varied hi-end b2b events for business professionals – including dinners, presentations, intimate client hospitality focused events
  • Confidence, initiative, can do, flexible,
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail
