As well as their own member and CPD events, they are growing their own agency proposition, and this role will play a key role in driving and delivering that. The role comes with line management responsibilities.
The role focusses heavily on project management and strategy – so would appeal to someone looking to step away more from hands-on event delivery, and focus more on project and team planning, and processes. It is a full and varied role, and as such offers an exciting and unusual opportunity. As Events Manager, reporting into the Group Events Manager, you’ll take the lead on some key areas within the overall event offering, and will have 3 x Event Logistics Co-ordinators directly reporting into you. As Events Manager you’ll be responsible for allocating the events to the team members for delivery, specifically within their major tri-annual UK-wide roadshow programme. You’ll also be assisting in project managing the organisation’s largest annual conference event taking place with many different stakeholders. Another aspect of your role will be implementing and researching new processes and procedures with a changing software platform offering and fully supporting the events team on their delivery of an array of events, for members and external clients. Your remit will include responsibility:
You’ll be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with depth and breadth of experience in events management, ideally with event agency/PCO knowledge/insight. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, including liaising directly and confidently with senior level contacts, and possess planning and strategic thinking skills with the ability to implement new processes and procedures. You will be able to evidence content and events management experience, including a strong track record of setting up an events/ department/ processes/ procedures/ database integration/events database.
