Small, friendly professional trade Association, working within the property and financial sectors. They are the central meeting place for industry participants and have created and continue to develop what has become the largest sector conference in Europe as well as a varied events programme – 2 major annual conferences, educational events, networking events, partnership events and black-tie dinners, the majority in the UK. They are the collective voice of the industry in communicating with policymakers and regulators, the media and interested sector parties.
The head office team is small – so this is a great role for someone who enjoys being involved with lots of aspects of an organisation, and also having lots of member contact outside of the HO. The role is two-fold – firstly events - you’ll be assisting the MD across all aspects of delivery of their events programme, registration, dealing with sponsors, inventory, designer liaison, on-site registration and co-ordination – and also have complete ownership of your own events for the Young Professional part of the association, working closely with member organisations in developing these, and delivering them logistically, including their annual black tie dinner. The second part of your role will also extend to assisting the MD and Chairman across all aspects of association business, from website content, supporting finance manager, working to support meetings etc. This is a fantastic role for someone who really enjoys being at the heart of an organisation, and loves the detail of organising events.
I’m looking for a flexible, pro-active, bright all rounder. You’ll have excellent event co-ordination and communication skills, and a proven track record of event co-ordination/administration, including delegate communication. You’ll have proven experience of working on a varied range of events –- and enjoy the nitty gritty of delivery, and the challenge of dealing with multiple events at one time. You’re confident dealing with speakers and business delegates and members and enjoy building relationships. Excellent communication skills are key (written and verbal), as are excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. You’re flexible, hands-on, happy working in a small team, and also would enjoy regular exposure to member organisations and individuals, and supporting the team across all aspects of the organisation..
