A leading association/society with a huge global member base are looking for a very detailed and logistics focused Event Manager with excellent project management skills to take on a really exciting 8 month contract working on two high profile and large-scale flagship events taking place later this year in prestigious venues in central London.


Reporting in to the Head of Events & Marketing, this is an 8 month Events Project Manager contract (starting early February 2019) that needs a seasoned and versatile Event Manager with superb project management, logistics and event delivery skills and a proven background of working on large scale B2B events (awards, seated black tie dinners, summits, exhibitions & poster-board displays and sponsored receptions) for international and high profile audiences. 

The post holder will need to swoop in and pick up on the existing planning, drive forward the project management and then roll out the delivery of two high profile and large-scale events (black-tie dinner & awards evening and a 3-day flagship Conference/Summit) taking place later this year in two of London’s top-class venues.

This exciting contract role will involve the initial evaluation of the status of each event, plotting and planning a list of key tasks & actions and then moving on to the hands-on project management and delivery including event logistics, guest list & RSVP management, budget coordination & financial tracking, venue liaison, supplier management (AV, catering etc..), delegate registration, award ceremony coordination, complex seat plan management, exhibition floorplan & exhibitor coordination, overseeing the production of all event marketing material, conference packs & event collateral, speaker/sponsor/VIP liaison, briefing notes & running orders, on-site event management and post event reporting & reconciliation. 


You'll be a versatile, hands on and super organised B2B Event Manager with the confidence and experience to come in and hit the ground running in terms of picking up on the event planning from where it is now and taking it through to successful on-site delivery. 

You’ll need to have a varied skill set of event project management, event planning, event logistics, delegate registration management, invitations & RSVP management, award ceremony coordination (including liaison with presenters & awards winners) complex seat-plan coordination, supplier management (AV, catering, florists etc), production of event collateral & branding, venue theming & decoration, basic event marketing, budget management, speaker liaison, on-site event management, event administration, reporting and post event reconciliation.

From a personality point of view, you'll need to be a confident self-starter who can dive straight in, take on responsibility and make things happen!  You'll be a naturally strong communicator with bags of charm, diplomacy and patience underpinned with the weight and gravitas to advise, steer and encourage decisions and then drive actions forward. A broad pair of shoulders and good sense of humour would also be hugely advantageous!

IMPORTANT: Candidates interested in this role MUST be able to start early Feb 2019.
