This leading financial services company is wanting to give a highly organised, numerical administrator/2nd jobber with excellent relationship skills the opportunity to join their procurement team.

This is a fantastic role for an extremely enthusiastic Procurement & Contracts trainee.  You will want to learn and seize this opportunity as you’ll be given extensive training and development in procurement processes.

The Role

The Procurement & Contracts Administrator  is based within a small highly supportive, collaborative procurement team of 5.  You will be well trained and gain fantastic exposure to commercial end to end procurement processes across all business categories to become a Specialist in this field.  You will work collaboratively with several teams across the business providing contract guidance and advice in line with the company policy. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders managing the tender process, providing contractual support and ongoing changes.

Day to day you will:

  • Learn and carry out company procurement processes
  • Support with contract management involving daily liaison with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Assist with tender applications and making contractual changes
  • Updating and managing company database
  • Administrative tasks as required.

About You

I’m looking for a very eager Procurement and Contracts Trainee who is keen to develop a career in procurement. You’ll be an excellent communicator with experience building strong relationships with clients and suppliers. You will have an understanding of public procurement regulations and practices and have an interest in company processes. This company provide comprehensive training and you will have the opportunity to attend off-site development courses to further develop your skills. You will be a proactive and results driven person with a keen eye for detail and a ‘can-do’ approach to work.

Key requirements:

  • Experience working in the public sector or in a similar corporate environment is ideal, but not essential
  • Degree level qualified or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen interest or a desire to build a career in procurement
  • Good technical skills in Microsoft Office
