Do you have technical expertise in relation to trust based DC occupational pensions schemes?

I’m urgently looking for a Technical Pension Manager to join the fastest growing pension company in the UK. 

The Company
High profile financial services company who have been set up to offer a highly accessible pension scheme that will help millions of people in the UK have a better retirement.  They’re on track to be the largest pension scheme in the UK.  Based in Canary Wharf.  Modern employer, high level of appreciation for work/life balance and continued career development.  Excellent bens.  They’d be open to home working 1 or 2 days a week once established in the role.

The Role
I’m looking for a Pension Technical Manager to join the Pension Technical Team of 4, this team are responsible for managing the relationship with the TPR, managing Master Trust authorization, identifying and managing any legislation and governance - ensuring organization is aware of changes, collateral review and offering general pension technical advice across the organization.

Example of duties:

  • Give advice internally to rest of business pension leg & regulation on how it effects the organisation
  • Collateral review – make sure it’s technically correct and meets regulatory requirements
  • Translate and dissimilate legislation and regulation change making sure it’s known across organisation – ie product, operations.
  • Conduct technical pension training across organisation
  • Look after relationship with pension regulators (TPR)

About You
I’m looking for a Pension Specialist who has gained significant technical expertise in relations to trust based defined contribution occupational pensions schemes.  You will be able to demonstrate experience of pensions legislation and its practical application.  You will have good knowledge and understanding of DWP requirements as well as TPR regulatory codes of practice and guidance.  You could be either a senior pension administrator (they’d support training), a pension consultant or an existing pension technical manager.  Key is your ability to understand and quickly familiarise yourself with any new area of pension regulations and subsequently be able to articulate information to a range of people.
