COMPANY
Leading live events and communications agency, known for it’s superlative creative live event and communications work for major corporates and brands.  This role sits within the project team for one of the agency’s most important global clients - the team support the client with the design, creative strategy, and implementation of exhibitions, events, brand experiences, sponsorship activations, bespoke digital content, communications programmes and visual identity.

ROLE
Huge variety in this role working on the technical delivery of a mix of live events including experiential, conferences and exhibitions a world-wide basis – Balancing creative ambition with safe and practical delivery you’ll take the production lead and provide production support for the delivery of large scale international projects.  Projects are varied and incorporate leading edge design, construction, and creative audience interaction.  You’ll work closely with the project management and creative teams, and also external suppliers – so good communication and co-ordination skills are as essential as production knowledge and aptitude.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take the Production lead in the delivery of projects around the world
  • Input into project specification and management of technical and manufacturing processes
  • Work with project management, creative teams, and clients, to review briefs and assess requirements
  • Create practical working solutions to creative proposals – turn vision into reality
  • Budgeting of projects ensuring best value pricing, negotiating with suppliers (international) and making contractor selection
  • Confidently present production solutions, budgets and project proposals at client meetings
  • Produce and manage project and production schedules
  • Liaise with venues and site service representatives. Carry out site visits
  • Ensure projects are delivered (development, build and running on-site) on budget and on-time to the highest possible standards
  • Work with Health & Safety manager, managing H&S requirements including assessing work activities, creation of documentation and on-site implementation
  • Maintain positive relationships across the internal team.

CANDIDATE
You’ll be a highly motivated, proven Production Manager / Technical Project Manager, with a track record of delivering the production and technical elements of events/conferences/exhibitions on an international basis.  We’re looking for a switched-on Production Manager with relevant medium scale international events and exhibition experience. A solid understanding of AV, staging and exhibit construction processes, a basic understanding of Vectorworks or AutoCad would be advantageous. You will have excellent communication, relationship building and organisational skills with strong attention to detail. The role is based in London office but due to the nature of the work you will also be required to travel on a regular basis, occasionally for extended periods.
 

Experience and skills required:

  • Proven experience within exhibitions/live event/conferences/technical production
  • Detailed technical understanding of event constructions processes e.g. construction methods, materials, graphics print & production, technical staging, AV
  • Confident and experienced with project budgeting and supplier management
  • Exceptionally organised with the ability to multitask projects
  • Flexible and adaptable to new challenges and requirements
  • Must be able to communicate well and build relationships with clients, other departments / colleagues
  • Computer literate in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
  • A basic understanding of AutoCad and Vectorworks would be an advantage
  • Be driven by ideas, imagination, innovation, Instinct, intuition and inspiration
  • Calm in a crisis, flexible, pro-active with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A good communicator with an enthusiastic, positive, can-do attitude
  • An intelligent, ambitious and highly motivated team player with a commitment to quality and professionalism
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge & experience of detail-focused events work
