The Role:
Business Development Director
Report to Head of Group Marketing
Researching and identifying new business opportunities
Grow existing marketing database of companies and build upon it my identifying new opportunities in the media and via other sources
Prospect communication set up minimum of 4 new business meetings per month.
Monitor trade press and track new business activity, organise follow ups
Help put together new business proposals, lead pitches and write internal briefs
Organise case studies
Organise credential presentations to potential clients and day to day client communication
Campaign Management
The Person:
Hands on, proactive CONFIDENT and enthusiastic business development manager
Understand the marketing communications sector
Proven track record in driving the new business side of the agency set up meetings, present credentials and create long standing relationship with clients.
Not just picking up the phone all about engaging so they want to find out more!
Real advantage if you have an awareness of the voluntary and not for profit sectors/government, and pressures being faced by major corporations
Excellent communication skills internal and external
Strong written skills
Confident, dynamic, positive personality
First rate organisational skills
Great attention to detail
Need to have a genuine interest in good causes and the issues surrounding the various corporate social responsibility debates.
