Operational Information Manager – MI

Great opportunity for an Operational Information Manager who is looking to develop or utilise on their MI reporting skills within a highly visible role within a high profile financial services organisation.

I’m looking for an Operational Information Manager who has a strong analysis/MI reporting background.  You will be required to provide management information (MI) across the organisation which will directly lead to service improvements and product changes to a large financial ecommerce site and product.

This role would someone from either a data analyst or MI background who’s worked within financial services.  You would be experienced in analysing, manipulating and producing business reports, spotting patterns in data to effect business solutions.

The Role

As Operational Information Manager, you will join the Service Management and Assurance team and be responsible for the definition, refreshment and delivery of a consistent management information (MI) framework and production of business reports to highlight operational performance and identify opportunities for service improvement.

Day to day you will:

  • Analyse, spot patterns and manipulate large data.
  • Deliver a suite of MI reports to the business which will help the decision makers monitor the effectiveness of the product and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Produce dashboards
  • Help define measures/metrics to hit operational goals, work closely with offshore team to fix issues with data and make improvements to reports.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders ensuring they understand what they are getting and their needs are met
  • Quality assurance, manage the process of improving the reports
  • Manage defects for associated with the reports and data.

About You

I’m looking for an Operational Information Manager with excellent data analytical skills.  You would have worked within financial services ideally within an operations/systems analysis environment.  You would be experienced reporting, identifying patterns, working with large data.  This is a highly visible role so you would need to be confident dealing with senior stakeholders.

Essential technical requirements are:

Business Objects 4.2 Advanced Reporting

Excel VBA/macros/charts

R scripting and R studio

Financial services background

Data analytics experience

Nice to have:

Power BI development

Tableau

Exposure to latest technology
