Calling all Sales and Events professionals! A beautiful, historic London events venue are looking for a new team member!

The Company

Beautiful, grade listed events venue space that boasts versatile and relaxed settings in the heart of London. Just a stone’s throw away from beautiful green spaces and plenty of transport options, a very accessible, classic and notably historical space that has hosted and continues to host a range of high profile events.  

The Role

A fantastic opportunity for an events/hospitality/and/or sales star to contribute to the ongoing growth of a centrally located, historical society events venue by administering, selling and planning a range of events including weddings, meetings, conferences, private dining and receptions to a mixed internal and external client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a range of event enquiries, promptly and efficiently responding to requests.
  • Book and manage meetings and events for up to 300 guests from conception to delivery.
  • Assist a range of corporate, private and internal clients
  • Assist in weekly events planning meetings
  • Support the business development manager on targeted marketing campaigns and promotional events
  • Attend promotional and networking events as required
  • Work closely with and support other members of the department – Front of House, Security, Reception etc.

About You

As an experienced customer services, front of house professional, ideally you would have previously worked in a similar role in events or hospitality position preferably from an events venue. Superbly presented, with excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner and fantastic interpersonal skills, you will be an excellent client-facing professional who is quick to build strong relationships. You will be super organised, detailed and especially helpful with a ‘can-do’ attitude. If you have First Aid or Fire Safety training that is excellent, however training can be provided.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous events experience – venue or hospitality sector advantageous
  • Experience of using a room booking or events software system
  • Confident dealing with a wide range of stakeholders including senior level individuals
  • Diplomatic and discrete personality
  • IT Literate – proficient with MOffice and other systems
  • Happy to carry out manual tasks of events i.e. lifting/moving goods
  • Desirable qualifications would be a NVQ/BTEC, Events Degree or equivalent
  • Flexibility to working hours
