Amazing perm role working in the luxury travel & incentives space for a Senior Event Manager / Head of Department!

COMPANY

The travel arm of a leading luxury lifestyle brand with headquarters in central London are expanding their luxury incentives offering and are looking for a senior level corporate travel & events specialist to head up their relatively new but rapidly growing high-end incentives department.

ROLE

Reporting to the Director of the luxury travel division this is a full-on and very fast-paced senior level role managing a small team (currently just 2 staff but this will grow) that will see you take ownership of this relatively new niche luxury “incentive experiences” department.

Clients are all well-known global corporates operating primarily in the luxury brand space from sectors such as automotive, retail, online technology & entertainment and the incentives & luxury travel projects are small high-end tailor-made “experiences” held across the globe for board-level / senior exec guests and their partners.

The role has a mixed remit of divisional leadership, staff management, client relationship development & client servicing, pitching & proposals (in response to new briefs coming in primarily from existing clients), strategy, concept design, project management and operational delivery of the corporate incentives & luxury travel projects, account management and departmental financial management. The role will involve some business development & reactive sales aspects but this will be working alongside the Sales & Business Development teams. 

YOU

You’ll be a Senior Travel & Events specialist (Senior Event Manager / Head of Department / Senior Producer / Account Director) with a minimum of 6+ years’ in the experiential events, incentives and luxury travel sectors. Ideally you’ll have an agency background and if you have automotive / driving tours / F1 hospitality experience that would be hugely advantageous.

You must have worked on international events with multi-currency budgets and have a broad ranging background of strategic planning (both for a department as well as for individual projects/accounts),

divisional leadership, staff line management, client relationship development, pitches (including responding to client briefs, creative concept development, costing out, preparing proposals & allocating resource), project management and operational delivery of corporate incentives & luxury travel projects, account management, client servicing, working closely with internal & external suppliers & local DMCs and full profit & loss and financial management of a small department.

From a personality point of view, you’ll need be exceptionally well presented, very client facing, all over the detail, thrive in a very fast paced business environment juggling multiple projects and accounts at any one time. You’ll need be self-sufficient, flexible in approach and 100% comfortable working in the high-end luxury brand space.
