Job Description

Brilliant job vacancy (10 month contract -starting early Feb 2018) with a highly regarded membership association for a B2B Event Coordinator / Senior Event Coordinator with good conference experience!

Highly regarded educational membership association based in central London. Fun & friendly team - very work-life balance and team orientated and all have a good sense of humour and enjoy their work as well as working hard to put on great events for their members!

THE ROLE

Joining at a very busy time, this 10 month maternity cover fixed term contract (starting 5th February 2018) will see you organizing and delivering a range of UK based 2-3 day residential conferences that are usually held at top 5* hotels in the major UK cities. The conference based events are sponsored and include an exhibition area and incorporate a full social programme of welcome drinks reception, evening functions and a gala dinner as well as the business and knowledge transfer elements such as key notes, workshops, seminars and panel discussions. The basic event planning is all in place (dates, venues and suppliers confirmed) and the events run to a similar format each year so this role needs a super organised event coordinator to come in, hit the ground running and take full ownership of the events and see then through the final stages of planning and then on to full delivery.

NB: The role will involve some travel within the UK and overnight stays for which TOIL will be offered.

YOU

You’ll be a fun and outgoing events coordinator / events executive / senior event coordinator with circa 2-4 years events experience (B2B conferences & exhibitions) ideally gained from working for a membership association or within / across the education or professional development sectors. You’ll already have good event management knowledge and skills along with some experience of working with sponsors, partners, exhibitors & advertisers as well as with a range of internal & external stakeholders, venues, suppliers and contractors. You’ll need strong event marketing & promotion and social media skills and if you have good UK venue knowledge that would be very advantageous. A bit of reactive / very warm sponsorship and exhibitor sales experience would also be useful.

NB: you MUST be able to start a new role on the 5th February 2018 to apply for this role.
