Job Description

Great opportunity for a highly organised Event Assistant/Events Grad with excellent administration and IT skills, to work on this large and highly prestigious annual international event.  ASAP start.  3 month contract.

THE ORGANISATION
The organisation deliver events and information to the news, entertainment and broadcast industry – and this is working on their major flagship annual 6-day event (overseas) which attracts over 55,000 attendees  –  so an amazing event to be involved in!

THE ROLE
You’ll be a key member of the Event Registration team, and will be a first point of contact for all registration enquiries from Exhibitors, Visitors and Delegates.  You’ll be working with a state of the art registration system, and deal with varied queries, about the event, timetable and general registration.  You’ll ensure all guests have an excellent experience of the registration process, and any issues are dealt with proactively and with a focus on customer service.   This is a great 3 month contract working on a major event – so a brilliant experience to add to your events CV!

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as part of the Registration team to ensure the overall success of the project
  • To process the registration requirements for varied delegate groups – speakers, committee members, stand personnel, delegates, exhibitors
  • To problem solve any issues within the system, and answer varied queries about registration and the event
  • To co-ordinate customer service for all users of the system to ensure a first class end-to-end registration service, timely responses to all enquiries

THE CANDIDATE
You’ll be highly organised, and have great administration skills and attention to detail.  Essential are excellent communication and customer service skills.  You enjoy seeing a project through from start to finish, and take pride in delivering an excellent customer experience, and working as part of a team.   You’ll ideally have previous experience working with databases and/or registration systems and be tech savvy.  You’ll enjoy the high attention to detail needed pre-event, and enjoy dealing and solving customer queries.  You’ll be a quick learner and keen to add the experience of a large event to your events career.

Key requirements:

  • Strong IT skills, ideally including use of databases and event technologies (eg registration systems or networking technologies)
  • Excellent customer services skills, applying a patient and calm manner with an international audience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A quick learner
  • A great team player, with a high level of professionalism
