COMPANY
Leading live events and communications agency, known for it’s superlative creative live event and communications work for major corporates and brands.  This role sits within the project team for one of the agency’s most important global clients - the team support the client with the design, creative strategy, and implementation of exhibitions, events, brand experiences, sponsorship activations, bespoke digital content, communications programmes and visual identity.

ROLE
This role is primarily focused around the delivery of a rolling programme of exhibition activity, run on a world-wide basis – you’ll take the production lead in the delivery of numerous small/medium scale exhibitions, and provide production support for the delivery of large scale international projects.  Projects are varied and incorporate leading edge design, construction, and creative audience interaction.  You’ll work closely with the project management and creative teams, and also external suppliers – so good communication and co-ordination skills are as essential as production knowledge and aptitude.
(At the lower end of the £scale, the role also offers training for a person with more limited experience, who has a desire to learn about the disciplines of delivering a global exhibition program)


Responsibilities include:

  • Take the Production lead in the delivery of projects around the world – ownership of own projects, and support on larger ones
  • Work with project management, creative teams, and clients, to review briefs and assess requirements
  • Create practical working solutions to creative proposals
  • Budgeting of projects ensuring best value pricing, negotiating with suppliers (international) and making contractor selection
  • Confidently present production solutions, budgets and project proposals at client meetings
  • Specification and management of all technical and manufacturing trades throughout the production process
  • Produce and manage project and production schedules
  • Liaise with venues and site service representatives. Carry out site visits as appropriate
  • Ensure projects are delivered (development, build and running on-site) on budget and on-time to the highest possible standards
  • Management of project Health and Safety including creation of all documentation
  • Maintain positive relationships across the internal team.

CANDIDATE
You’ll have proven experience as a Production Manager or Technical Project Manager, with a track record of delivering the production and technical elements of events/exhibitions.  We’re looking for a switched-on Production Manager with relevant medium scale international events and exhibition experience. A solid understanding of AV, staging and exhibit construction processes, a basic understanding of Vectorworks or AutoCad would be advantageous. You will have excellent communication, relationship building and organisational skills with strong attention to detail. The role is based in London office but due to the nature of the work you will also be required to travel on a regular basis, occasionally for extended periods.
Experience and skills required:

  • Proven experience within exhibitions/live event/technical production
  • Understanding of exhibition construction, graphic production, Audio Visual, IT and technical staging processes
  • Confident and experienced with project budgeting and supplier management
  • Exceptionally organised with the ability to multitask projects
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  • Flexible and adaptable to new challenges and requirements
  • Must be able to communicate well and build relationships with clients, other departments / colleagues
  • Computer literate in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
  • A basic understanding of AutoCad and Vectorworks would be an advantage
