Job Description

Unique opportunity for a highly-organised Events Co-ordinator to work on very high profile and prestigious events at one of London’s most unique and historical venues.

The Company

The events team at this prestigious organisation is responsible for organising a remarkable range of events at this very special historical London venue - used for high profile corporate events and award ceremonies, concerts, special events and highly prestigious banquets.

The Role

You’ll be working in a dedicated events team of 5 who specialise in producing up to 40 highly prestigious events a year, from banquets for royalty and heads of state to lectures by political and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • End to end management and detailed organisation of a mix your own events and providing assistance on major events. These will involve liaison with internal teams, senior officials within high level organisations and variety of suppliers.
  • Organising all logistics with internal stakeholders and external organisations to develop event arrangements including placing orders with suppliers, managing provision of their services, and managing costs
  • Researching guests lists and issuing invitations, devising table plans and producing ceremonial briefing notes and other correspondence and documentation for each event
  • On-site event co-ordination

About You

You’ll be a highly organised, smart and articulate events co-ordinator with existing experience within corporate and/or special events. You’ll be working on some very high profile formal events at this prestigious venue - so you’ll love achieving the highest possible quality levels of event execution, with the necessary exacting level of attention to detail.  You’ll have excellent communication skills to deal with a wide range of people, supported by your very high levels of customer service and great attention to detail.  Strengths as a team player, excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy are essential, as is excellent experience co-ordinating relevant event suppliers, internal and external.

Key requirements: 

  • Excellent communication skills, with excellent standard of English, both written and oral
  • Degree level education
  • Relevant co-ordination experience
  • Smart professional appearance as this role includes working at formal and very high profile events
  • Varied supplier liaison experience (internal and external) across all aspects of event hospitality, including catering, operations, entertainment, florists etc
  • Experience of managing event budgets
  • Confident, able to cope well and calmly under pressure, tactful and discrete
  • Flexibility to work evening and occasional weekends at your events
