COMPANY
London based PR & Events agency for the wine trade. Award winning agency that is well established, has a great client portfolio, a strong reputation within the wine and specialist beers and spirits industry and works across the Comms, PR and niche trade & consumer events space.

ROLE
As Event Manager you'll be reporting directly to the Managing Director and you'll have one direct report to manage (an Event Assistant) and to support you in the delivery of a range of trade, consumer and press events primarily in London and across the UK (with occasional events overseas).

You'll be working closely with the PR team but you will be leading on all events including niche invite only wine tastings, VIP bars at festivals & shows and PR events right through to large experiential road-shows, pop-up bars, consumer tastings and sampling activations as well as drinks industry training programmes, competitions and trade events.

Clients you'll be working with will include the wine & drinks industry press, wine exporters, wine importers, retail brands and other major players from across the food & drinks industry.

Your role will include event planning, venue & supplier management, event ops & logistics, branding, equipment hire, set-up & de-rig, invitation management, on-site event delivery, budget management, client servicing, staff management and post event reconciliation, evaluation and reporting.

YOU
You’ll be a super-organised and enthusiastic Event Manager with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working  on corporate, trade and consumer events in the UK. An agency background would be preferred and candidates interested in applying for this role must have a solid and all-round skill set of event planning, venue finding & event related research, project management, event operations & logistics, invitation & RSVP management, supplier & venue liaison, client servicing, budget management and on-site event delivery. Experience of managing junior staff would be advantageous and a little wine knowledge would be a plus (but not essential).

From a personality point of view you’ll be a well-organised self-starter, with a bags of energy, drive and confidence along with a hands-on and ‘can-do’ approach and amazing attention to detail. You must be passionate about delivering top quality events, enjoy working within a close-knit team and within a fast paced agency and commercially focused environment.
