Junior level role in the world of events, marketing and publishing!  Fab opportunity to join leading body in media/publishing industry – and support their events team, to market and deliver their exciting events programme of industry awards and conferences.

THE ORGANISATION
Leading body within the media, magazine and publishing world – their members publish within the consumer and business arenas, and include world renowned consumer publishing houses, as well as specialist business publishers. Their events programme includes prestigious awards events, industry conferences with high profile speakers, networking events, receptions and more – all needing to make the right creative and professional impact on their discerning industry audience.

THE ROLE
As Events & Marketing Assistant you’ll support the busy Events Team of 3 others, as they deliver the organisation’s busy events programme – there’ll be prestigious industry award events, conferences, and network events – all within the creative and exciting world of publishing, so events will be colourful and creative, as well as needing to be flawlessly executed.  You’ll support the team across all areas of event administration, and take ownership of event marketing campaigns on behalf of the team, ensuring maximum coverage and take up of attendance by their membership to attend the exciting events programme they put on.
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support events team across delivery of events and their marketing campaigns
  • Event administration – admin, delegate and speaker communications, logistics and co-ordination support
  • Manage marketing campaigns – write copy, manage content and delegate communications via email marketing system and website

THE CANDIDATE
You’ll already have some events and/or marketing experience under your belt, with excellent communication, co-ordination and administration skills.  You’ll be a fast learner, proactive and a real team player – flexible with a can do attitude – you’ll have good communication skills, and the ability to write copy for event marketing communications.  You’ll be looking an events and marketing role, and enjoy working in a busy environment.
Key requirements:

  • Some existing events or marketing experience, with proven very solid administration and co-ordination experience
  • Very organised, great attention to detail, proactive, team player
  • Excellent communication skills, written, face2face and on phone
  • Ability to write copy - for email and website communications for event marketing deliverables, together with an eye for design/layout
  • Experience in event marketing campaigns would be great!
  • Experience in event administration, delegate registration and communications, general support highly desirable
  • Confident, excellent interpersonal skills, friendly, flexible and good to have around!
