Event Manager – Insurance – Financial Services

Job Description

I’m looking for an Event Manager who understands the insurance industry to join a leading, high profile financial services association.

As an Event Manager, you will be required to deliver a series of CPD (continued professional development) programmes that engage with many association members.

The Company:

The largest professional body in the financial planning market with global presence.  They are responsible for providing leadership, relevant learning, policy and representation for the financial planning industry.  Highly collaborative, supportive team. 

The Role:

The Event Manager will be responsible for the co-development and delivery of a variety of the association’s member events.  A larger focus will be on the actual implementation/delivery of the events.  You will create and deliver inspiring conference and event agendas in line with membership learning and development that is very relevant to the insurance market.  You will also have responsibility for sourcing subject matter experts, building relationships and managing speakers, venues as well as general event logistics.

About You:

I’m looking for a highly organised event manager who is experienced at delivering high quality events or continued professional development programmes within the general insurance space.  You will understand how the CPD proposition fits in with wider membership engagement and understand the ‘bigger picture.’  Excellent event project management skills including timing and budget control with a collaborative approach and strong communication skills.
