Venue Event & Conference Co-ordinator

A superb junior events & sales role working for a highly regarded and interesting historical venue and museum in central London!

The Company
This Event & Conference Executive role is working for a prestigious historical venue, learning centre and museum in central London which has a suite of versatile meeting and banqueting spaces (including a large theatre) and operates with an in-house catering team.

The Role
As the Event & Conference Executive you will work as part of the venue hire team who are responsible for generating income from the venue hire bookings for a wide range of events and conferences. You will also work closely with clients (both existing and new) to plan and deliver their events and be their main point of contact from the very first call right through to the delivery of their event as well as dealing with post-event feedback, follow up and payment.

Your role will include:
• Responding to telephone and email enquiries
• Conducting site visits and show rounds
• Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings
• Drawing up contracts and invoices
• Planning and delivery of events
• Working closely with internal teams (catering, operations & facilities)
• Researching leads for new bookings
• Administration including filing & database management
• Client relationship building & account management

About You
You will be proactive, creative and hardworking, with the enthusiasm to achieve challenging sales targets and a passion for creating and delivering high quality events and conferences. You will have sales and event management experience gained from working venue-side, be very commercially focused and will enjoy working with clients (both existing and new) to build and grow accounts.

Key candidate requirements include:
• Experience in event venue sales
• Experience of planning & delivering events
• Excellent customer service skills
• Superb administration and organisational skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Good client relationship building skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Enthusiastic, proactive with bags of initiative
